Christian is a Georgetown University graduate student from New York, New York. Christian can be recognized by his enthusiastic hello when he greets you and his always-present backpack. In his backpack, you will find his gaming laptop and probably some very advanced math homework. Christian not only applies his singing talents to the Georgetown Chimes, but also contributes his angelic voice to the Georgetown University Chamber Singers.

#289 Rishi Bharadwaj | Baritone
Rishi is a senior studying Mathematics and Economics in the College of Arts and Sciences. Coming to us all the way from Chennai, India, Rishi brings his smooth baritone voice and sharper wit to every rehearsal. When he's not singing with the Chimes, Rishi splits his time between producing original music in his home studio, dominating the competition in Mario Kart: World, and wooing audiences in performing arts events across campus. A lover of music, philosophy, and art; what's there not to love about Rishi Bharadwaj?!

#290 Jonathan Huang | Bass | Treasurer
Jonathan is a senior in the School of Foreign Service studying International Political Economy. Jumping in from West Windsor, New Jersey, he brings big brains and a bass voice to boot. Jonathan serves on the SFS Academic Council, performed in the main cast of (no) Pressure Creatives, and is studying abroad in Taiwan last year. When he’s not singing with the Chimes, you can catch him zipping around D.C. on Capital Bikeshare, quoting movies, or orchestrating legendary board-game nights. When rehearsal starts, he lays down a bass line so warm it feels like you’ve just been hugged by a cup of cocoa.

#292 Youngsung Sim | Baritone
Youngsung is a senior in the School of Foreign Service majoring in International Politics and double-minoring in Government and Law, Justice & Society. Hailing from Hopewell Junction, New York, and Seoul, South Korea, Youngsung's musical prowess is only surpassed by his passion for proactively serving his peers. Outside of the Chimes, you can find Youngsung hanging with Campus Outreach, helping at the career center, legislating in the GUSA Senate, or debating in the Philonomosian Society. Whether peer mentoring for the SFS, or paneling at GAAP weekend, Youngsung is always down to help people (at least when he’s not dominating in cards and board games, that is).

#293 Brendan Kelly | Tenor | Business Manager
Brendan, affectionately known as “Buns,” is a junior in the School of Foreign Service studying Regional and Comparative Studies with a minor in Russian. Hailing in from Leawood, Kansas (yee haw!), Brendan brings energy and humor to every rehearsal. When he’s not singing with the Chimes, you can find him questionably driving the Campus Outreach church van, booking flights to Kyrgyzstan, and crushing the competition at intramural volleyball. And despite his “good judgment,” he remains a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan.

#294 Stephen Yupa | Bass | Music Director
Stephen is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Economics and Computer Science. Coming to us from Middletown, New York, Stephen brings a wealth of musical experience to the Chimes as well as a velvety bass voice. Outside of the Chimes, he can be found performing with the Chamber Singers, working in the Admissions Office, or serving as the co-president of ODE. Whether cramming through an econ problem set or studying abroad in Edinburgh, Stephen always brings good vibes to the group. When the work is done, odds are he’s unwinding by blasting techno or house music at a volume that makes his presence immediately known.

#295 Ani Hebbatam | Lead | Ephus
Ani is a senior in the School of Foreign Service studying Science, Technology, and International Affairs. A transfer from George Washington University, this New Jersey native is a consistent source of positive energy, good advice, and powerful vocals at every rehearsal. Outside of the Chimes, Ani can be found editing everyone’s resumes, creating a slide deck for Hilltop Consultants, or yapping about his love for all things Edison and Indian. If you have a problem, bring it to Ani – this future consultant will stop at nothing to help you find the solution you need.

Julien is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Government with a minor in French. Hailing from Woodbridge, New Jersey, Julien is a powerful baritone who brings up the energy and the vibe at every Chimes rehearsal. As a hill-tern, RA, actor with Mask and Bauble, and proud member of Club Filipino, Julien approaches his many commitments with a strong work ethic and a smile. If you walk around campus with Julien, you’re sure to run into at least three people he knows, a true testament to his natural charm and welcoming presence.
